Warfare Prayers in Satan’s Battle Against Children

Mass shootings are rising in schools—and that’s not the only expression of the enemy’s war on children. Sexually perverse images and evil indoctrination in our educational systems are also part of the raging battle. The attack on identity is real, as are the implications of fatherlessness, poverty and hunger.

Indeed, there is a war on Children.

“The enemy is waging war against our children,” Cindy Jacobs, co-founder of Generals International, said in a recent prayer alert. “We must pray for our kids and come against the spiritual attack of the enemy against their innocence, their identity, and their future!”

This month, Awakening Prayer Hubs is taking on the War Against Children. Remember, children are our future. Our cities will ultimately be in their hands as they become the next teachers, doctors, and government leaders. Let’s pray:

Pray for protection from the enemy’s plans. Declare God’s faithfulness over their lives and ask God to establish a hedge of protection around them, and guard them against all forms of harm, both seen and unseen (see 2 Thessalonians 3:3).

Ask God to send angels to watch over children. Ask for angels to encamp around them to keep them safe from all forms of harm and injury (see Matthew 18:10).

Break every assignment of darkness against children. Declare the divine power of God destroys every stronghold and demonic influence that may try to hinder their lives (see 2 Corinthians 10:4).

Pray God will give children wisdom and discernment and fill them with knowledge and understanding, that they may make good decisions and recognize any form of danger or harm. Pray God will them in paths of righteousness and protect them from the enemy’s deceitful schemes (see Proverbs 2:6)

Pray for the Gospel light of Christ to penetrate the darkness in schools, entertainment and other venues and industries where children are put at risk of natural and spiritual danger.  Pray that God’s light expels darkness from their midst (see 2 Corinthians 4:4).

Pray God would give children a spirit of prayer, that they would know their authority and be strong enough to stand up against dark powers rather than being tempted by them (see Luke 10:19).

Pray for divine justice for orphans and children who are oppressed or targeted by the enemy. Pray God’s justice will prevail, bringing an end to the terror and harm inflicted upon them (see Psalm 10:18).

Pray for school safety. Pray that schools would be a place of refuge and training rather than fear, violence, indoctrination and death (Psalm 122:7; ESV)

Pray parents will be actively involved in training their child in righteousness (see Proverbs 22:6).

Pray for those who perpetrate evil against children, that they would repent and find salvation—then be part of the solution (see Acts 26:18).
