Known prophetically as the “Reverse the Curse” State, South Carolina played a crucial role in the American Revolution and the Civil War. The state was the site of major battles and significant events, including the first shots of the Civil War at Fort Sumter in Charleston Harbor.
Economically, South Carolina is a powerhouse in several industries. The state has a thriving manufacturing sector, particularly in the automotive and aerospace industries. Additionally, South Carolina’s ports are critical to international trade, facilitating the export and import of goods and contributing to the national economy.
South Carolina is famous for its historic cities like Charleston and Columbia, which offer a blend of colonial architecture, vibrant arts scenes, and culinary delights. The state is also known for its stunning natural beauty. From the sandy shores of Myrtle Beach to the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains, South Carolina offers diverse landscapes for outdoor activities and tourism. It is also famous for its cuisine, which includes Lowcountry dishes like shrimp and grits, she-crab soup, and barbecue.
Despite its many strengths, South Carolina faces several spiritual and natural challenges. One of the most pressing issues is economic inequality. Education is another significant challenge. South Carolina has made strides in improving its educational system, but it still faces issues related to funding, teacher shortages, and disparities in educational outcomes.
This week, Awakening Prayer Hubs is praying for South Carolina.
Let’s pray:
Identificationally repent for the history of slavery, racial injustice, pride, rebellion, bloodshed, occult practices, covenant breaking of the Indigenous people, past history of the civil war and battles fought on the land, idolatry, and sexual immorality.
Pray for the 2024 presidential and South Carolina elections—for the election of government officials where the Word of God does not depart from their mouth, meditating on it day and night (Joshua 1:8).
Pray for righteous rulership within all current sectors of South Carolina’s government who stand for Godly policy.
Pray South Carolina’s business leaders would not conform to the greedy patterns of this world but would be transformed by the renewal of their minds so they can discern what is the will of God, what is good, acceptable, and perfect (see Rom. 12:2).
Pray for a total ban on abortion.
Declare justice and righteousness will be the foundation of South Carolina.
Pray for the uprooting of every terror cell in the state.
Ask God to send His angels to encamp around the state of South Carolina because there is a remnant who fears the Lord (see Ps. 34:7).
Ask the Lord to rain down and let the skies pour down righteousness, let the earth open and bring forth salvation within the school, university, and college campuses of South Carolina (see Is. 45:8).
Pray to break and dismantle all plots and plans of any school shootings throughout the entire state in the name of Jesus.
Pray for a spirit of prayer to fall upon the educational institutions of this state.
Pray for the families of South Carolina to repent and turn to God, that their sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord (see Acts 3:19).
Pray for biblical order to be restored and for the healing of relationships from domestic violence, rape, teen pregnancy, death, and poverty within families.
Pray for the opioid epidemic in South Carolina.
Speak life and healing over the families and the land.
Pray for those held captive by freemasonry in South Carolina, that they would come to the full knowledge of the truth that Jesus is the light of the world, and as they follow Him, they will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life (John 8:12).
Declare truth will no longer be distorted on the South Carolina media mountain.
Pray for the Church, that words may be given to them when they open their mouths, to proclaim boldly the mystery of the good news of salvation (see Eph. 6:19).
Pray for the Gospel to run swiftly through South Carolina.
Pray the body of Christ in this state takes up their shield of faith to quench the fiery darts of the wicked one (see Eph. 6:16).
Pray to come against strife and the religious spirit in the Church. Pray for unity and believers to be fervent in spirit, where the fire of God burns away everything not of Him.
Pray to call forth a rise of intercessors motivated by love who have the heart of the Father—mercy triumphs over judgment (see James 2:13).
Pray for those called to the arts and entertainment mountain in this state, that they stand strong for purity and holiness, displaying Godly lifestyles and values.
Declare awakening, revival, and societal reformation in South Carolina.
