Known prophetically as the “New Wineskin” state, North Dakota is recognized for its expansive prairies and rich agricultural heritage. The state is home to the Theodore Roosevelt National Park and Native American culture, oil production, and Fargo has a growing tech industry.
While North Dakota boasts many positives, its residents also face various challenges, including economic fluctuations, healthcare access, an aging and declining population, harsh weather, education, and workforce development. Maintaining and improving infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, and public facilities, particularly in sparsely populated areas where the cost per capita is high.
Despite 77 percent of the population identifying as Christian, there are still spiritual challenges in North Dakota.
This week, Awakening Prayer Hubs is praying for North Dakota.
Let’s pray:
Repent of violence, covenant-breaking, and idolatry.
Pray for honest, Kingdom-minded business leaders who recognize they are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that they should walk in them.
Pray prosperity within the economic system of North Dakota would serve Kingdom purposes.
Pray for the protection of the state infrastructure and military bases.
Pray for the righteous rulership of current North Dakota state officials within the legislative, executive, and judicial branches so that all would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.
Pray for the 2024 North Dakota elections; for a peaceful and just election according to God’s will.
Pray candidates are surrounded by Godly advisors.
Ask God to pour out a spirit of repentance on the state and that God would give voters Godly wisdom at polling stations.
Pray hidden drug trafficking rings throughout the state would be revealed and disconnected.
Pray godly sorrow would rest upon the drug traffickers in North Dakota producing repentance that leads to salvation.
Decree justice and righteousness will be the foundation of North Dakota.
Ask God to send forth His angels to protect the entire state.
Pray the families of North Dakota acknowledge that many are the plans in a man’s mind, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.
Pray whatever families do, in word or deed, they do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
Bind the spirit of violence, strife, and suicide: loose gentleness, joy, unity, and life over the family mountain.
Pray for the Gospel to run swiftly through North Dakota on all seven mountains of societal influence.
Pray for a cross-denominational outpouring of the Holy Spirit throughout the body of Christ in this state.
Pray for open doors at every level within the education system of North Dakota to reveal Jesus as the light of the world and to declare that whoever follows Him will not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.
Pray for revival to hit the school and university campuses throughout the state, where students recognize a fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out.
Pray for the spirit of prayer and supplication to be poured out on the campuses in North Dakota.
Pray for the uprooting of all terror cells throughout the state.
Pray the Church in this state will walk by faith and not by sight and discern their authority as kings in Christ Jesus, knowing as they decree a thing, it shall be established.
Declare the glory of the Lord will be made manifest in this state where miracles, signs, and wonders follow.
Declare awakening and societal reformation throughout the state of North Dakota.
