Known prophetically as the “Swing the Sword” state, Ohio holds a significant place in the United States due to its geographical, political, and cultural impact.
Ohio is a vital crossroads for transportation and commerce, connecting the eastern states with the Midwest and beyond. Its diverse economy, historical contributions, and political importance make it a crucial state in the nation’s fabric.
Ohio is famously known as the “Mother of Presidents.” Eight U.S. Presidents, including Ulysses S. Grant, William Howard Taft, and Warren G. Harding, hail from Ohio. Ohio has been an industrial giant, contributing significantly to the manufacturing and automotive industries. Cities like Cleveland and Akron were central to the steel and rubber industries, respectively.
Ohio is home to numerous cultural and educational institutions, and the state boasts a variety of natural attractions, including the scenic Hocking Hills, Lake Erie shores, and Cuyahoga Valley National Park. These areas offer residents and visitors opportunities for outdoor activities and relaxation.
Despite its many strengths, Ohio faces spiritual and natural challenges. The decline of traditional manufacturing industries has led to economic shifts, resulting in job losses and the need for economic diversification. What’s more, Ohio has been significantly impacted by the opioid epidemic, with high rates of addiction and overdose deaths, among other challenges.
This week, Awakening Prayer Hubs is praying for Ohio.
Let’s pray:
Repent of the past history of wars fought on the land, abortions, illegal bloodshed, idolatry, and covenant breaking of the Native Americans.
Pray Ohio’s education system would no longer indoctrinate students with anti-biblical information.
Pray truth is taught on campuses and revival spreads where students recognize they are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that they should walk in them.
Forbid any demonic infiltration meant to bring destruction to Ohio’s school and university campuses.
Pray for the Gospel to run swiftly through the state.
Pray the families of Ohio would put on love, the perfect bond of unity.
Pray for the children in Ohio to be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that they may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.
Pray to uproot the freemasonry stronghold within the foundation of the land.
Pray for a shift within the Church in Ohio who keeps His Word, has not denied His name, and perseveres: a Church of apostolic order.
Ask the Lord to pour out His Spirit as He did in the Oberlin Revivals of the 1800s with continual revival fire spreading, saving souls.
Pray for business leaders in Ohio who discern that better is a little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and turmoil with it; better is a little with righteousness than vast revenues without justice.
Pray for current Ohio government officials and for righteous rulership who desire Godly policy.
Pray for the 2024 Ohio elections—for honesty in campaigns and for God’s will to be done.
Pray against corruption and for integrity at polling stations across the state.
Declare justice and righteousness will be the foundation of Ohio.
Pray for a total abortion ban in Ohio.
Pray for the exposure, dismantling, and uprooting of all terror cells, human trafficking, and drug trafficking networks in this state.
Ask God to send forth angels of protection to surround Ohio.
Pray that those called to media, arts, and entertainment pay careful attention to how they walk—not as unwise people, but as wise—making the most of the time, because the days are evil.
Declare transforming revival throughout the state of Ohio.
