Known prophetically as the “Covenant Blessing” state, Tennessee has become iconic on the country music scene.
Nashville, known as “Music City,” is the heart of the country music industry, home to the Grand Ole Opry, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and countless recording studios and music venues. Memphis is celebrated as the birthplace of the blues and rock ‘n’ roll, with landmarks like Beale Street and Graceland, Elvis Presley’s former home.
Historically, Tennessee was a crucial battleground during the Civil War and a pivotal area in the Civil Rights Movement. Economically, Tennessee is a major hub for automobile manufacturing. The state is also known for its agriculture, producing key crops such as soybeans, cotton, and tobacco. Scenically, Tennessee is home to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Despite its many strengths, Tennessee faces several challenges. One of the primary issues is healthcare access, particularly in rural areas. Education is another significant challenge. While Tennessee has made strides in improving its educational system, there are still issues related to funding, teacher retention, and student performance. Economic inequality is also a concern.
This week, Awakening Prayer Hubs is praying for Tennessee.
Let’s pray:
Identificationally repent for engaging in the occult, covenant breaking of the Native American people, a past history of wars fought on the land, history of slavery and racial injustice, idolatry, and immorality.
Pray families in Tennessee would seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness; that their soul would thirst for the Living God (Matthew 6:33; Psalm 42:2).
Pray for the Freemasonry stronghold to be eradicated from the foundation of the land.
Pray the Lord would pour out His revival glory on the education mountain in Tennessee, where all would worship and bow down; kneeling before the Lord our Maker (Exodus 33:18; Psalm 5:6).
Ask God to send His angels of protection to surround the campuses from any school shootings taking place.
Pray for the uncovering, dismantling, and uprooting of every terror cell in Tennessee.
Pray for righteous rulership of current state officials, who act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God (Micah 6:8).
Pray for the 2024 Tennessee elections, for wise government officials who walk in the way of righteousness, in the paths of justice (Proverbs 8:12-21).
Declare justice and righteousness will be the foundation of Tennessee.
Pray truth is communicated through all sectors of media, for the Word of the Lord is right and all His work is done in truth (Psalm 33:4).
Pray whatever business leaders in Tennessee find to do with their hands, they do with all their might, building for God’s glory (Ecclesiastes 9:10).
Pray for the eyes of the unbelievers in Tennessee to be opened so that they may turn from darkness to light (Acts 26:18).
Pray for the Gospel to run swiftly through the state.
Pray the Church in Tennessee would seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face evermore springing forth a manifestation of God’s glory and power (1 Chronicles 16:11).
Pray for unity in the body of Christ in this state, for where there is unity, God commands a blessing (Psalm 133).
Pray for Kingdom ambassadors to arise on the arts and entertainment mountain in Tennessee who stand for purity and holiness.
Declare awakening, revival, and societal reformation in Tennessee.
