Known prophetically as the “Worship” State, Utah is a Mormon stronghold. The state is a powerhouse in various industries.
The technology sector, particularly in the area known as the “Silicon Slopes,” has seen explosive growth, attracting major companies and fostering innovation. Utah is also a leader in energy production. And the state’s ski resorts are world-renowned.
Despite its many strengths, Utah faces several challenges. Spiritually speaking, the state has a significant population of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS), which influences the local culture, values, and community life. The state has also seen rapid population growth, water scarcity, and environmental concerns.
This week, Awakening Prayer Hubs is praying for Utah.
Let’s pray:
Identificationally repent for idolatry, robbing God, a past history of war fought in the area, covenant breaking of the indigenous people, and a history of slavery; abortion and occult practices.
Pray for business leaders in Utah who draw near to God; who have put their trust in the Lord God, that they may declare all His works (Psalm 73:28).
Pray for the media in Utah who acknowledge the truth and understand the words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing (Proverbs 12:18).
Pray for the Holy Spirit to burn like fire through the Church in Utah, to burn away the religious spirit and everything not of Him.
Pray the Church in Utah would birth houses of prayer for all nations (Mark 11:17).
Pray for unity over the Church (Psalm 133).
Pray that God would send more disciples of Jesus across the paths of Mormons and other religious groups within the state; that they would let their light shine, so unbelievers would see their good works and glorify our Father in Heaven (Matthew 5:16).
Pray for the Gospel to run swiftly through Utah.
Pray for the scales to fall from the eyes of those who call evil good and good evil, who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness, who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter in the Utah arts and entertainment (Acts 9:10; Isaiah 5:20).
Pray the love of Christ Jesus would be the foundation of Utah families, the building blocks of the state.
Pray to call forth healing and deliverance from the Mormon and Freemasonry strongholds.
Speak life over the families and the land.
Pray the Native Americans in Utah would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4).
Pray for the opioid crisis in Utah.
Pray for the uprooting of all terror cells in the state.
Pray for protection over the state, the infrastructure, and military bases.
Pray the foundation of the education system in Utah would be rooted in biblical truth.
Pray for the salvation and mindsets of educators and students, that they are careful no one takes them captive through philosophy and empty deceit based on human tradition, based on the elements of the world, rather than Christ (Colossians 2:8).
Pray for the 2024 Utah elections, for the election of Kingdom state officials who are led by truth and revelation.
Declare justice and righteousness will be the foundation of Utah.
Pray for righteous rulership in the Utah government who act wisely; state officials who worship the Lord, serve Him with reverence, and rejoice with trembling (Psalm 2:10-11).
Declare revival, awakening, and societal reformation throughout the state of Utah.
