Known prophetically as “The Passover” State, Vermont was the first state to abolish slavery. The state is a leader in environmental conservation, pioneering green initiatives, and renewable energy projects.
Agriculture is another cornerstone of Vermont’s significance. The state is famous for its dairy products, especially cheese and ice cream, with companies like Ben & Jerry’s becoming iconic American brands.
Vermont’s organic farming practices and commitment to local food systems contribute to the nation’s agricultural diversity and food security. Economically, Vermont’s small business sector is robust, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.
Vermont is renowned for its outdoor recreational opportunities. With numerous ski resorts, hiking trails, and waterways, the state is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. But the challenges in this small but powerful state are real.
One of the most pressing issues is population decline. Many young people leave the state for better job opportunities elsewhere, leading to an aging population and a shrinking workforce. Economic diversification is another challenge. Affordable housing is also a significant concern.
This week, Awakening Prayer Hubs is praying for Vermont.
Let’s pray:
Repent of all bloodshed, Freemasonry, idolatry, sexual immorality, and legalization of abortion.
Pray for the voices called to media in Vermont, that the words of their mouth and the meditation of their heart would be acceptable to the Lord (Psalm 19:14)
Pray for righteous rulership in Vermont, who will do what is right and govern fairly (Isaiah 32:1)
Pray for the 2024 Vermont elections, that officials elected in each branch of government in the state take their governing seat of authority in reverence to God, carefully following His Word daily (Deuteronomy 17:18-20)
Pray for the reversal of abortion access in Vermont.
Declare justice and righteousness will be the foundation of Vermont.
Pray for the uprooting of all terror cells in the state.
Pray for Vermont business leaders, that mercy and truth would not forsake them; binding them around their neck, writing them on the tablet of their heart, and so finding favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man (Proverbs 3:3-4)
Pray for Godly order to be restored within the families of Vermont; create in them a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit within them (Psalm 51:10)
Pray for the opioid crisis.
Pray healing and deliverance goes forth within the families of the state.
Pray for Vermont’s educational institutions, for open doors of opportunity to reveal Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6)
Pray for the Church in Vermont to awaken with resurrection power with dry bones coming alive (Ezekiel 37:1-12)
Ask God to send forth His angels to protect along the borders of the state.
Declare transforming revival throughout the state of Vermont.
