Known prophetically as the “Mother of America” state, Massachusetts is one of the original 13 colonies and one of the six New England states. It may be best known for the landing place of the Pilgrims on the Mayflower.

Massachusetts is also known for its many colleges and universities, including Harvard University, the first institution of higher learning in the country, founded in 1636. Massachusetts has the highest percentage of residents with a college degree nationwide.

Along with education, health services employ the most people in the state. Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital are among the state’s most renowned hospitals. On top of this, the state has the third-best job market in the nation.

But the state has challenges. Massachusetts was the first state to legalize gay marriage and the second to pass anti-discrimination laws for those who identify as lesbian, gay, or bisexual.

Affordable housing is a massive challenge. People, especially the elderly, are being priced out of their homes Rents are just too high. As a result, young people are looking outside of the state for more affordable places to live. This is all part of a housing shortage that is decades in the making. The cost of childcare is also a struggle for many.

This week, Awakening Prayer Hubs is praying for Massachusetts.

Let’s pray:

Repent of racism, robbing God, covenant breaking, and the shedding of innocent blood.

Pray the media mountain in Massachusetts reports righteously and truthfully.

Pray for the Gospel to run swiftly through the 5,600 migrant families currently housed in the state’s emergency shelter system.

Pray for wisdom for government officials as they navigate the influx of migrants.

Pray for the 2024 Massachusetts elections, for the election of Kingdom officials with the heart to see civil laws aligned with God’s Word.

Pray for current state officials, righteous rulership, who stand on the Word of God.

Decree justice and righteousness are the foundation of Massachusetts.

Pray for the uprooting of all terror cells within the state.

Pray the state of Massachusetts passes a total abortion ban.

Pray businesses in Massachusetts are managed by leaders who walk in honesty and integrity and have a desire to finance Kingdom expansion.

Decree Massachusetts follows in a new form of provision.

Pray the families of Massachusetts have a Biblical and moral foundation to stand upon.

Pray for godly order to be restored within the Massachusetts families.

Pray for those afflicted with opioid or other drug-related addictions who would encounter the heart of the Father.

Pray for the watchmen to continue to arise in this state with strategies to combat the wicked one and faith to see breakthroughs come forth.

Pray for the gift of repentance to fall upon the harvest within Massachusetts.

Pray revival fire sweeps through every school and university campus within the state.

Pray for prayer, the Bible, and biblical values to be incorporated back into Massachusetts’s educational institutions.

Pray for adequately provided resources and services in Massachusetts’ school districts to ensure support is provided to students with disabilities.

Bind perversion, lust, addiction, and violence. Loose purity, righteousness, and peace over the school and university campuses within the state.

Ask God to send forth His angels of protection to guard and protect the borders of Massachusetts.

Decree awakening, revival, and societal reformation throughout the state of Massachusetts.
